The Honors (Pty) Ltd (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), the license holder and operator of the App, is committed to protecting your personal information and privacy. This document explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application (“App”) and website, in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa. GOLFERS HONOURS PRIVACY NOTICE
This is the Privacy Notice of The Honors (Pty) Ltd t/a the Golfers Honours and all its subsidiaries/affiliates (“Golfers Honours”) and which is also published on our website www.golfershonours.com, and which applies to the Personal Information of all Golfers Honours’ employees, customers, suppliers, contractors, agents, visitors and any other natural or juristic person engaging with Golfers Honours in any manner whatsoever.
When used in this Notice, “Personal Information” has the meaning given to it in the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (“POPIA”). Personal information is any information that can be used to personally identify a natural or juristic person. Special personal information is any information that is considered by law to be particularly sensitive information. This includes information related to your health, sex life, race, ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, political persuasion and criminal behaviour and biometric information.
When engaging, in whatever capacity and/or whatever method including our App, with Golfers Honours and by submitting any Personal Information and/or special personal information to Golfers Honours you hereby voluntarily consent that Golfers Honours may collect, use, store, process, further process and deal (retain, disclose, destroy, etc.) all your Personal Information, and if applicable special personal information, as required and provided for under POPIA. This information includes but is not limited to name of legal person or entity, identification or registration numbers, addresses, contact information, financial and tax related information, and authorised signatories. The Personal Information may be collected by your express voluntarily written consent or contractual engagement (via web and App), or any other means in the normal course of business.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Notice, or any parts thereof, you should not submit your Personal Information to Golfers Honours or if submitted in the past instruct Golfers Honours in writing to delete your Personal Information, in which instance Golfers Honours may at its sole and absolute discretion will decide whether to engage with you or not. It should be noted that processing and use of your personal data may be required to give effect to your contractual relationship with Golfers Honours or where such processing is required in terms of a law or where it is necessary to protects Golfers Honours’ or a third party’s legitimate interest.
The consequence of withholding consent or Personal Information is that Golfers Honours will not be able to further engage with you with or provide any of Golfers Honours’ products or services.
All Personal Information collected and processed by Golfers Honours will be used solely for conducting legitimate business, to meaningful engage or contract with you as a contract party, to protect a legitimate interest of Golfers Honours or a third party or to you as the data subject, or an obligation by the operation of law. Your Personal Information will be securely stored and either upon your instruction or through the effluxion of prescribed time limits will be destroyed in accordance with the prescribed manner.
In terms of Section 11 of the POPIA, you have the right to object to the processing of your Personal Information. Golfers Honours will upon receipt of your objection not further process any of your Personal Information, in which instance any delay in or cancellation of your engagement with The Honours will be solely at your risk. Objections must be sent to Golfers Honours’ Information Officer, as per the contact details below.
You hereby confirm that you understand your rights to privacy and processing of your Personal Information in terms of POPIA; and that you are entitled to exercise such rights at any time; and that you have the obligation to keep your Personal Information up to date. In this regard Golfers Honours requires you to ensure that your Personal Information when supplied is complete, accurate and up to date. It is your responsibility to advise Golfers Honours of any changes to your personal information as and when these may occur. Failure to do so may result in the termination of our services and/or products to you.
You also have the right, to request that Golfers Honours provides you with the details of your Personal Information which were collected and for what purposes were processed by Golfers Honours. Should you wish to do so you may send the request to Golfers Honours’ Information Officer.
Please note that when exercising any of your rights Our response to a request may take up to 30 days due to required procedures. We reserve the right to request proof of identity or any additional information that may be required to process your request.

Golfers Honours is entitled to disclose your Personal Information internally or with a third party who use or process the Personal Information on Golfers Honours’ behalf. You furthermore consent that Golfers Honours may disclose your Personal Information to any other third Party as maybe allowed by law.
You herewith indemnify Golfers Honours from any loss, damage, injury, costs, etc. you may suffer as result of any unintentional disclosure of your Personal Information to an unauthorised third party.
